Meditation Monday

While there was much to appreciate about my job, I do not miss the creeping performance anxiety that would appear Sunday afternoon and increase as I marched toward Monday morning and an endless to do list.

For those of you who are crawling out of bed Monday mornings with radio station KFKD (K-Fucked) playing in your head, you may need a little deep breathing.  Radio KFKD is how the brilliant Anne Lamott refers to that negative voice we carry with us telling us we are not worthy.  Oh you are SO worthy, believe me.

Every day or week, instead of beating yourself up about what you did NOT accomplish, make a list of what you DID achieve — you’ll be amazed about what you produced.

Every week a new video or picture will be added to this page to give you a 20-second Monday morning meditation to calm the nerves. Simply watch, breath deeply and remind your inner-critic… “thank you, but I’ve got this!”
